Keyboard Input

  • Key: The key input on a standard QWERTY keyboard.
  • State: The current state of the game.
  • Event: What occurs on this key press

Z Splash Screen Confirm Action
X Splash Screen Cancel Selection
UP and DOWN Arrow Keys Splash Screen Navigate Splash Screen Options
Z Map -- Next to and Facing a NPC Initiate Conversation or Event
Z Map -- Any Interactive Item Initiate that items associated Event
Arrow Key Map -- Anywhere Movement enabled as long as movement is not impaired in the direction of the Arrow Key.
Shift AND Arrow Key Map -- Anywhere on a Dash Enabled Map Dash movement enabled as long as movement is not impaired in the direction of the Arrow Key.
X Map -- Anywhere Go-to In-Game Menu
Z In-Game Menu -- Any Level Confirm Selection
X In-Game Menu -- Top Leave the In-Game menu
X In-Game Menu -- Non-Top Return to next highest menu screen
Z Name Input Screen Confirm Selection
X Name Input Screen Remove last text from the inputted name
Shift Name Input Screen Jump to the confirm option
Arrow Key Name Input Screen Navigate the input options.
Z Battle Screen -- Top and Subordinate Battle Screens Confirm Selection
X Battle Screen -- Subordinate Battle Screens De-confirm last confirmations
Shift Battle Screen -- During Text Display Speed the rate of the Text Display
D Battle Screen - Move-Type Selection Screen and Skill Selection Screen Toggle the use of the "Combo" points towards a Combo move.
